Happiest when a design meets real data, real fingers and a real codebase.
I design the interface, then I build it.
For eleven years I have worked where design meets code, the last six on my own. Banks, clinics, warehouses and small product teams, in Copenhagen and further away.
I like the part of the job most people hand over: making a design survive real data, real fingers and a real codebase. That is usually where a product gets good.
How I work
Three habits that have stuck with me through every project.
Start in the material
I sketch in code early. A rough prototype on a real phone answers more questions than a polished screen.
Work inside your codebase
I use your components and your tokens, and I open pull requests your team can review like any other.
Write things down
Timing, edge cases and failure states go into short notes next to the code, so nothing is lost when I leave.
Experience
Studios, product teams and my own practice.
Tools
What I reach for most weeks.
